Sneak peak of Anna and I in our "Edwardian" finery--waiting to board the Showboat Branson Belle. {Titanic 100 (!!!) } No, we did not make the dresses--Anna's and the hats are rented, {I added the plumes} mine I already had. Actually, I originally wore it to a vintage, 20-30's themed English Country Dance. Before heading to MO I pulled it out of my closet, saw all the lace. . .and voila! It worked perfectly for 1912. ;) Oh, and in case anyone was wondering, no, I was not grumpy. Trying to look sophisticated.

Wow! Those dresses are just lovely! My brother (www.jordanstrang.blogspot.com) had a concert on the anniversary of the sinking and my family and a few close friends dressed up for it and then had a "reception" afterwards. It was so fun!

sigh, so much lace, am I in heaven?
ReplyDeleteI love lace and you both look stunning!
Ah! I love your dresses & hats. So beautiful! I've been posting all about the Titanic for the past several days, every day. It would have been a grand moment if I could have gone to the Titanic 100 to top it all off... but alas, it was not meant to be. Instead, I stayed home, read about it, watched some documentaries, and blogged about it. I still enjoyed the Titanic's 100th year anniversary!
ReplyDeleteAhhhh! Finally saw this pic. LOVES, my child. You two look ahmazin'.
ReplyDeletePraying for ya...
Flop
