kiss the waves.

My heart is so very full, and on this quiet Saturday afternoon, just come in from cutting the grass, cleaning with the family like crazy people for a house showing, (we're trying to finally make our dream of living in the country a reality!) and now sitting to drink my tea--I am grateful. For the promises and testimony God is showing me, day by day. Forgive me if I ramble a bit. It may not look like it to you, but it's been a slow summer--a time to think, a time to pray. I've grown leaps and bounds (hopefully for the good! :) ) and am bursting with the goodness of a Savior who never leaves nor forsakes. Right now tears wash my face as I think of a dear friend and sister in Christ who just lost her first baby. Her faith in the face of such a horrendous trial is inspirational. I love you, sweet girl, though we haven't yet met in person. It's people like THIS who show me the mind of God. His will isn't ours--something that is so hard to grasp. But the beauty of perseverance in the face of adversity! It fills me with awe; life is a mystery. Yet when I look around at my own small world of green tea, sisterly drama, nannying, household chores. . . fears, desires, hopes, dreams. . .I am grateful. After all, I'm not the only 20+ someone with a big question mark hanging just beyond my grasp. Amen? We see an exciting, wild, life-pulsing world that is just. . .out. . .of. . .reach. It's an adventure between you, me, and an all-seeing, all-wise Creator. Someday out of the mass confusion we'll see the bigger picture. It will all make sense. It will fall into perfect, divine place. You know, I can't WAIT to have my chat with Jesus. It may not be around a coffee table, but it is going to be the most thrilling moment of  my existence. In the meantime, I'm one blessed girl. :)
