In The Shire.

This  post is all about the beauty of a summer that's finally sprung. As in, there is HEAT out there. Finally. Not that I love sweating and swatting mosquitoes, but sunshine is happy. :) Gloominess has it's place, but mostly when there is tea and a yummy book like 'The Marquise Secret' to curl up with. [note that George MacDonald is currently my favorite author next to C.S. Lewis and L.M. Montgomery. TOTAL.brilliance.] Lately, I'm in a Shireful-of-goldenrod's kinda mood, and you need summer sunshine for that. Perfect opportunity for an impromptu photo shoot--in The Shire of course. aka, the field-behind-our-house. Gotta love having a photographer sister. That girl is amazing, just sayin'. I'm a bundle of happy, happy happy. . .excited for my big weekend (annual homeschool grad event,) and praising an awesome God! Sooo. . .without further ado, why not celebrate with me?

"Little by little, one travels far." J.R.R Tolkien

"But these are the days that we dream about when the sunlight paints us gold"

"Her heart was a secret garden, and the walls were very high."

"We are the music makers / And we are the dreamers of dreams / Wandering by lone sea-breakers / And sitting by desolate streams / World losers and world-forsakers / On whom the pale moon gleams / Yet we are the movers and shakers / Of the world forever, it seems."

"We do not want merely to see beauty, we want to be united with the beauty.
To pass into it, to become a part of it." C.S. Lewis

"Watch a sunrise at least once a year, put a lot of  marshmallows in your hot chocolate, lie on your back and look at the stars, never buy a coffee table you can't put your feet on, never pass a chance to jump on a trampoline, don't overlook life's small joys while searching for the big ones."

"I am on a journey. . .with my work, my explorations, and a few sad stories. I travel with a suitcase full of outrageous blessings. I am on a quest for truth, beauty, and quiet joy. I am an artist, a writer, and explorer."
