Yesss I am still alive! How are all my readers doing? Life is a little crazy right now--trying to juggle sewing (for a Regency Christmas Ball this weekend,) nannying, and every day life. I hope you are all enjoying the fall-ish weather, excited to see who wins Giveaway "300" (the reception has been awesome!) and keeping yourselves out of trouble. Thanks for your patience--there are several posts in the works.
And I'm reading North and South. Be still my heart and someone grab me quick!
Also, remember Shannon from Shannon's Sweets? She's giving away half a pound of Caramel Pecan Turtles for Giveaway "300", AND is also sharing a special 10% coupon code just for YOU--good through December 14th: dec2012
See you soon,
Mich
I'm reading North and South right now to! What do you think of it?
ReplyDeleteI LOVED it. (read my most recent post!) And surprisingly, I've really come to like Margaret. In the movie she just comes across as cold hearted and mean (because honestly, poor Richard--I mean, Mr. Thornton. :P ) But now that I've read the book I've seen the fullness and inner beauty of her character.
DeleteLove the quote and wee little owl!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean with blog posts... I've been doing the bare minimum on my blog recently!
Hope you're having a loverly week and I look forward to your next post!
Rachel
gah.. North and South!?! that is seriously my favorite book right now.
ReplyDeleteI finished North and South just last week-- isn't it incredible??? The movie's one of my favorites but the book is SO much better.
ReplyDeleteHave an amazing time at the Regency Christmas ball!!
Welll. . .I'd say I still like the movie better--but! I cried at the end of the book, and teared up several times in between.
DeleteAh, it's soooo much fun to read North and South after seeing the movie, 'cause of Mr. Thornton's voice -Richard Armitage's voice - that acts all the voices out in my head when I read;D
ReplyDeleteOf course the book's amazing even without that, but...!
Have a brilliant Regency Christmas Ball this weekend... what I wouldn't do to go to one myself! Sigh.
Oh my yes! Every character is SO perfect, I couldn't help hearing their voices in my head. Higgins was especially fantastic, with his accent and everything. :)
DeleteThanks so much! It was a lovely time. I posted pictures in my most recent post.
