i think i'm in like.

When my mom and I go shopping . . .
we usually get lunch.
only this wasn't just any lunch.

organic raw tuna and salmon. yes, RAW. avocado. seaweed . . .and of course, sushi rice. my first experience with this amazing food - no, i'm not picky. ;) willing to try anything? mhm. even wasabi . . . only i didn't realize what the little green blob at the end of the sushi tray was until i took a generous taste. luckily the soy sauce was so tasty i quickly forgot about the terrible medicine taste left over from "that green blob."

so, to make a long story short . . . my mom and i ended up buying two trays of sushi . . . and eating both. o.O

later that same day . . .
we saw this.
and entered, even though we already have tickets.

what can i say?
yahooo for les miz!

there. hows that for an extremely random post?
{this is what happens when one consumes a dozen pieces or so of raw fish in one sitting.}

  1. Darling, I'm not knocking it...I've never tried it. But it's RAW. As in, uncooked. As in, practically savage. I mean, natives in the jungle eat raw meat.

Raw meat can spoil very easily. I can only imagine the vermin that could be crawling around right now insidde of your wee self. Salmonella...tape worms...disease...illness...yup. This is from the girl that cooks all meats *really well*. A medium rare steak is the closest I've ever come to raw.

All that said, I haven't tried it. It may be great. Probably will someday, be able to say I hate it. :-D But's...RAW. And I don't know if I can get past that. Unlike you, I'm not one of those "good for anything" people. :-D

  2. Sushi...
Welcome to the wonderful world of good, ol' fashioned, raw food. :)

    1 Corinthians 10:31

  3. Like Alexandra, I'm more of a medium - well done kinda girl. But I have tried Sushi.

I prefer my food cooked, that's all I'll say :)

But go ahead, risk your life eating raw meat...

  4. Ooh, Michaela...GROSS! :P Okay, I admit, I've never tried it, and it sounds/looks good when you post about it, ;) but...RAW fish and SEAWEED!?! *gags* :) :) I can't help myself..seafood just isn't my thing. But go ahead and eat it if you insist! :)

Hehe...sounds like a fun day with your Mama! <3 Lovely post, dear..

    In Him,
