of swirly puffs, golden flowers, and Regency gowns...

I am very behind on Les Miz week. o.O I wasn't really planning on putting up an entry *every* day of the week, since I don't want to scare people away from my blog. ;) haha But! I *would* like to add a few more to the contest, ya know? Hopefully I'll be able to get a post up tomorrow...today we spent several hours at the zoo, (yippee! One of those fun family things one NEVER gets too old for. Love it.) - and tonight I plan on several hours of sewing.

Oh! Speaking of, I am super excited about the gorgeous new brocade fabric I bought for, yes, another Regency gown. My last gown encountered some *ahem* problems, so for now I sort of pushed it aside. But anyway, what do you think of this???

I realized after uploading these pics that this is actually the wrong side of the fabric. Nearly just as pretty as the right side, only missing some of the gorgeous puffy golden flowers.

So far I have all the pieces of the gown cut out, and am starting to sew the bodice together. The brocade fabric is SO much easier to work with then the satin I used for my last dress. And I've decided something I'd never thought possible: I adore sewing.

*note* I will be creating "tabs" at the top of my blog featuring different websites, etc. One will be dedicated to my sewing projects. ~ coming soon! :)
